What is the difference between 3/8/12 connections?

This setting will depend on your type of subscription and software.

Use the following settings using the software SnelNL:

Small Account = 3 Threads / Connections
Basic Account = 8 Threads / Connections
Fast Account = 20 Threads / Connections

Use the following settings via Spotnet software:

Small Account = 5 Threads / Connections

I got the error message “System.OutOfMemoryException”

When you get this message you should try and install Spotnet again. To do this:

I got an 502 error message

There are two types of 502 errors.

Type 1: 502 Authentication Failed
In most cases it means the username / password combination is wrong. However it could also mean your account is currently closed and so you need to activate it (by extending).
Please check your user profile page to see if your account is still active. If your account is active, it must be wrong login details, so go into the download software and check the following:

For your username:
Your username is the email address you've subscriped to SnelNL with, but with a subject line '_' instead of an at sign '@'.

For your password:
If you don't remember the password you created for your account. SnelNL offers you the possibility to create a new password.

Type 2: 502 Too Many Connections or 502 Acces Denied (Hit Connection Limit)

The "502 Too Many Connections" or "502 Access Denied (Hit Connection Limit)" errors means that you are using too many connections.

Go into the download software and open the software settings. How many connections (also called: threads) are allowed?

Please try to enter the appropriate number of connections/threads:
Slow account can use up to 4 connections
Basic account can use up to 8 connections
Fast account can use up to 12 connections

Running SnelNL and Spotnet at the same time:

Go into the SnelNL software "Settings" and then "Extended Settings". Set the "Connections" from "Automatic" to your corresponding account type:
Slow account can use up to 3 connections
Basic account can use up to 8 connections
Fast account can use up to 12 connections

After that press "Apply" on the right top of the Settings page.

Tip: You want to send the downloads from Spotnet to the SnelNL software?
Go in Spotnet to the left top menu and open the menu called "Bewerken" and in that menu open "Download knop". Put this on the "Open NZB" .
From now when you add a download it will automatically start in downloading in SnelNL. (Having SnelNL installed on your computer.)

I am having trouble connecting

Below are the settings needed to connect both SnelNL and Spotnet.

How do I disable an automatic paypal payment

Here is how to cancel an automatic / recurring payment with paypal:

1. Log in to your PayPal account: https://www.paypal.com
2. Click Profile at the top of the page.
3. Click My Money, then click Update beside My preapproved payments to find your payment.
4. Select the payment, and then click Cancel.

How to Upgrade/Downgrade with Auto-Renewal enabled

How to downgrade your account:

If you wish to downgrade your account at SnelNL, we suggest you get in contact with our support staff here. We will then manually change the settings for your account in our system. Unfortunately it is not possible for you as a customer to make these changes.

How to upgrade your account:

There are several ways to upgrade your current account.

One is to contact our support staff here about the upgrade. We will then manually change the settings for your upgrade in our system.

Another way to upgrade your account is to turn OFF your auto-renewal setting through your account page. After turning this feature off you will be able to register for an upgrade of your account on our products page. Simply select your preferred upgrade and finish the registration process to upgrade your account. When you choose to upgrade your account your current subscription term will be calculated to an equal term of the newly selected subscription.

What does Enable Auto-Renewal mean?

We've build in an option so your account will be automatically extended before your account will close. This option is available for iDEAL and Paypal payments.

 

iDEAL Payment + Auto-Renewal

With iDEAL as payment methode and "Auto Renewal" enabled we allow you to have a recurring payment through your bankaccount without you needing to renew your subscription. With this option enabled you give permission to direct debit your bankaccount. After you verified the purchase through iDEAL, we'll debit future monthly fee from your bankaccount. When your chosen subscription term comes to an end, your account will be automatically renewed every month. You can choose to cancel auto-renewal at any time through your personal account page.

 

Paypal Payment + Auto-Renewal

With the Paypal payment method selected, and the option ‘Auto Renewal’ enabled your subscription will automatically get extended every month. When your chosen subscription term comes to an end, your account will be automatically renewed every month. You can choose to cancel auto-renewal at any time through your personal account page.

 

Is it possible to download with both Spotnet and SnelNL software?

Yes, you can decide which software you prefer to use with service, however there are some differences when using the software:

- Better completion and retention in the SnelNL Software versus Spotnet.
- SnelNL is also available for Mac OS users!

Without being biased we suggest you use the SnelNL software.

I cannot find or play my previous downloads

You can find old downloads on your harddrive. Try looking in your 'Downloads' folder which is located in your 'Documents' folder. Or look for the 'SnelNL' folder in your 'Documents' folder.

We recommend that you download VLC player:

When VLC can't play your desired file, please try downloading the file again.

My download keeps pausing / is stuck at 0%

Be sure to check the following points:

Have you entered the correct username and password?
Are you sharing your account? (this is allowed, but perhaps all connections are taken)

I do not get the full download speed

We often get users with a misunderstanding between MB/s (or also MiB/s) and Mbps (or also Mbit/s).
Generally the download speed in download software is shown in MB/s (MiB/s). To convert MB/s to Mbps you need to multiply the number by eight, for example:
1MB/s = 8Mbps or 5MB/s = 40Mbps ... etc.

You can always take a speedtest, for example here: www.speedtest.net

Possible causes:
- WiFi is limited and often doesn't provide you full or stable download speed.
- Your HDD is slow and coudn't write or/and extract faster to the HDD.
- Your internet provider (internet subscription) is also limited.
- How many connections are you using in the download software? (Slow = 3 connections / Basic = 8 connections / Fast = 12 connections)

I am having trouble installing SnelNL

If you are unable to open the program SnelNL you can do the following:

How do I upgrade my subscription to a faster account?

You can always upgrade to a faster subscription. Go to your account page and press on "Upgrade" below the blue Extend button.

How the convertion works:

From a 'Slow' to a 'Basic' subscription; current term times 0.6 plus the new term.
From a 'Slow' to a 'Fast' subscription; current term times 0.5 plus the new term.
From a 'Basic' to a 'Fast' subscription; current term times 0.8 plus the new term.

Convertion example:
Currently you have 25 days remaining for your 'Small' subscription term, but you'd like to add and convert to a 30 day 'Basic' subscription. The convertion will work as follows: The remaining 25 days of your 'Small' subscription times 0.6 comes to 15 days. Now add those 15 days to your 30 day 'Basic' subcription and you'll get 45 days of 'Basic' Subscription.

How do I turn my test account into a paid account?

After you created your test account, you received an order-confirmation email from SnelNL. This email contained your account information, as well as a blue “Extend” button to extend your account. Simply click this button to extend your account.

Another way to extend is through your account page. Just click on the blue “Extend” button on this page and you will be guided through the process.

It’s also possible to extend your account on our product page. Be sure to use the same email address you used to sign up for your test-account.
